Robustness — Gymnastic Strength Exercises
Open the visual routine guide · My weekly template
I recently discovered a new category that I find very important: Robustness. This includes what I call my "gymnastic strength training" — exercises that build coordination and body control beyond traditional lifting.
| Exercise | Progression |
|---|---|
| Forward roll | Diving roll |
| Cartwheel | Round-off |
| Handstand | Handstand walk |
| Single-leg hops | Bounding |
| Duck walk | Quadrupedal movement |
These exercises aren't about building muscle mass. They're about making the body resilient, coordinated, and adaptable — qualities that directly translate to running performance and injury prevention.
