Why Do I Run?
I am curious how fast I can run. There is a limited window to find out, and pushing my physical boundaries is demanding but rewarding.
Running was a conscious choice. Both my parents had a background in athletics, but I only came to the sport at 18. They supported me; the initiative was mine.
Wanting to improve has followed me through the sports I played as a child and the hours I spent playing video games. I could see myself getting good at many things, but I eventually had to choose where to put that effort. I chose running.
